Lauren has been working in the private and public mental health field since 2013. She specializes in childhood trauma, attachment and anxiety, marriage counselling, and individual therapy.

Speaking Engagements

Lauren is an engaging speaker, Registered Social Worker, foster mom and agricultural mental health advocate. She has appeared in numerous radio, television and print articles concerning the issues of adoption, foster care, and mental health in the agriculture sector. As the owner of Wellspring Counselling Services in Courtright, ON, Lauren works with individuals and families across Canada to find hope and healing.

1) Cultivating Mental Health: A look at mental health, and how to effectively develop coping skills and build resilience. Participants learn signs of mental health distress, and some effective strategies such as thought change, mindfulness, and self-care skills to ensure they are posed to overcome the struggles they and their families experience.


2) Finding Healing: The Emotional Impact of Crisis and Loss on People who Love Animals Well.

Journey with pet owners and producers as you discover how to cope with the immediate and long-term loss that is felt during and as a result of a crisis. Discover what supports and resilient strategies you can implement to ensure you and your loved ones are able to recover from a tragedy.


3) Women in Ag: Finding our place in Agriculture

Women experience unique barriers to mental health support, and their role is sometimes complicated as they are both a support and a provider in agriculture. Journey with other women as we learn how to effectively cope, construct effective boundaries and advocate for our own needs as well as our families and communities.


4) Isolated to Integrated - Finding meaningful connection in a virtual world


Experience a practical webinar that is intended for businesses and corporations that are now serving one another and their clients virtually. The difficulties COVID has brought upon us is significant and many people are struggling to make sense of it all. This webinar is helpful for those who are adjusting to changes and looking to develop healthy coping skills in the midst of a pandemic.

Childhood Anxiety

Anxiety is the number one mental health concern we see in children. Lauren has extensive experience in helping children find freedom from anxiety. From a strengths-based approach we can identify the emotions and "triggers" related to the anxiety and help children develop resources to ensure that they are able to overcome the barriers they experience.
